Day 85- Signs of the Zodiac Nails!

How cool are these nails, have you spotted your zodiac sign? I love every year when we are in Capricorn season as it feels like my time to shine!

Signs of the Zodiac Nails!

I don’t actually believe in horoscopes and star signs but for some reason I’ve always loved the idea of them. There’s something quite special about having something ‘personal’ (I mean it’s not really) for when you were born. I don’t know about you but I always feel sort of proud of my own star sign!

I’m a Taurus (woo! Shout out to my fellow Taurus people!) so I decided to do a quick google of typical Taurus traits and the same things kept coming up-

Dominant, observant, strong and artistic

I’d say observant and artistic are probably true but not so sure about dominant and strong. I’m your pretty classic introvert and if we’re talking physical strength I genuinely struggle to pick up a water jug at the kitchen table…

What about you? Do your star sign’s traits match your personality?

Blogmas 2017: Day 19 – Snowman nail art tutorial

20171218_215421
Do you want to build a snowman?

I think this design is super cute and easy to achieve in less than 15 minutes and 5 steps if you are opting for the negative space nail vibe!

What you will need: Dotting tool, stiper brush or nail polish pen in black. (the brushes and dotting tool you can get from poundland or make them yourself from household items!). White, Black and Orange nail polish. Continue reading “Blogmas 2017: Day 19 – Snowman nail art tutorial”

July Beauty Challenge: Day 28 Teal

Happy FriYAY Cheeleaders, I can’t remember if I mentioned that there is a new Kiko Milano cosmetics store near me so I have recently discovered their products and I can’t wait to check them out again when I am back in Windsor. During my visit there I picked up a couple of nail polishes, I was wowed by the prices but my hopes weren’t fully raised until I checked out the durability of this polish.

So far I have checked out the Nail Lacquer and Mini polishes which have not disappointed, this stuff is chip resistant and one week later it still looked like I applied it the day before I only removed it because I wanted my nails to match my toes as I was going out with open shoes on and I’m a little fussy when it comes to that.

I know this is more of an emerald sort of nail enamel but it certain lights it does look a little tealy 😂

Let me know in the comments below what your favourite teal beauty product is ⬇️

July Beauty Challenge: Day 20 Mani Monday

Hi Cheeleaders and welcome back to another badly named theme in relation to the actual day 😅

This is what I’m wearing on my nails this Monday/Thursday, it’s by Seventeen and it’s called Emerald Tropics. I love this range of nail polish by Seventeen because it just doesn’t chip, the only reason why I take it off is because my jails grow quick as much as that gap gives me a sense of achievement I don’t like seeing it there and also nothing perks up your week more than a fresh set of nails 💅

What colour are you wearing on your nails? Let me know in the comments below ⬇️

July Beauty Challenge: Day 17 Yellow – Perfect yellow manicure with Avon 💅

Today’s post is proudly brought to you by Avon… I’m joking, I wish it was but hopefully that can be a 2025 goal 😅 I just happened to use a lot of their products for this post.

Day 17’s theme is ‘yellow’ which was so much more easier for me to do because I really like to wear yellow nail polish but it can be tricky to get a solid colour out of it without it looking streaky. Here are the 4 steps to getting that perfect yellow manicure:

  1. PRIME your nails with a good base coat, I like to use the Avon Nail Experts 5-in-1 Nail treatment.
  2. PREP your nails with a white nail polish, it doesn’t matter which brand this is just so you get a more opaque shade to your yellow.
  3. PAINT your nails with one or two coats of a yellow nail varnish. I used Avon Gel Finish Nail Enamel in Limencello.
  4. SEAL your nails with a high shine top coat to get some longevity out of your new manicure, I like to use Avon Gel Shine Nail Enamel Top Coat to finish off my look.
Yellow enough to compete with a banana! 🍌

July Beauty Challenge: Day 16 Product That Gets The Most Compliments

I love these nails, in fact my first review on these nails is not only one of my first reviews on the blog but it is one of my most popular posts which you can read here

At the moment I haven’t had a need to use these as my own nails are finally being kind to me and are growing out nicely for the first time in years, but when I’m having a bad nail day I always reach for these and they last a fair amount of time.

Every time I have these on I always receive several nice comments throughout the day even if they are a solid colour with no design, they look realistic and they are pretty resistant to my abuse of them (fyi false nails are not screwdrivers). They are so cheap that I make sure to always have a couple packs in reserve because you never know when one of your own nails will betray you and break 🙅‍♀️

July Beauty Challenge: Day 15 Favourite Packaging

Day 15 we are finally halfway through and oh my days has it dragged! Officially the hump day of the challenge and today’s theme is favourite packaging so I’m switching it up with the favourite packaging of one of my favourite nail brands.. I could be wrong but I think they have re packaged their brand recently but let’s continue 😊

I’m really fussy about nail varnish bottles especially now that my nails are a lot longer so I need to have a good grip on the lid and control on the brush.

I really like the packaging because it is simplistic and there isn’t too much going on, I’m very minimalistic when it comes to packaging and just like a sleek simple look.

Let me know in the comments below what your favourite brand is ⬇️
