How cool are these nails, have you spotted your zodiac sign? I love every year when we are in Capricorn season as it feels like my time to shine!

Signs of the Zodiac Nails!

I don’t actually believe in horoscopes and star signs but for some reason I’ve always loved the idea of them. There’s something quite special about having something ‘personal’ (I mean it’s not really) for when you were born. I don’t know about you but I always feel sort of proud of my own star sign!

I’m a Taurus (woo! Shout out to my fellow Taurus people!) so I decided to do a quick google of typical Taurus traits and the same things kept coming up-

Dominant, observant, strong and artistic

I’d say observant and artistic are probably true but not so sure about dominant and strong. I’m your pretty classic introvert and if we’re talking physical strength I genuinely struggle to pick up a water jug at the kitchen table…

What about you? Do your star sign’s traits match your personality?

Blogmas 2017: Day 23 – Snowflake nail art tutorial

No two snowflakes are the same and that applies to nail art, unless you’re using a stencil or stamp no two designs are exactly the same. Today I am going to show you have to paint a snowflake on your nails, so keep reading to see the finished nail.

Blogmas 2017: Day 22 – Christmas tree nail art tutorial

Out of my nail art collection this year, this is my favourite because of how simple yet effective it was to do. There is another one from the collection that I love too but the Christmas tree just pipped it to the post.

What you will need: Dotting tool, chunky green glitter plus one star shaped glitter or you can use a silver gem, a neutral base colour (I used “I Pink, I can” from the Avon Mark Gel Polish range) and green nail polish.

Step one: Making sure that your base coat is dry, place a blob of the green nail polish on to a piece of foil or plastic. Dip your dotting tool in to the green polish and then place four dots in a line to create the base of the tree, moisten the other end of your dotting tool to pick up the chunky glitter individually and then place each one in to the centre of your dots. Repeat the line of dots four more times, making less dots each level you go up and remembering to place the glitter while the polish is still wet.

Step two: Create a really small dot, moisten your dotting tool and pick up the star to put on top of your treesterpiece!

Don’t forget to seal in your glitter with a layer or two of top coat!

Let me know in the comments if you have had a go at this or what your favourite nail art is!

Blogmas 2017: Day 20 – Candy Cane nail art tutorial

As I was reminded during my Christmas Quiz yesterday, the four main food groups are Candy, Candy Canes, Candy Corns and Syrup that is in the world according to Elf that is, I don’t think there are many Doctors and Dentists that would be in agreement with that.

This nail is super easy to do that requires only two colours and minimal time!

What you will need: Flat brush or masking tape (I prefer the brush), red and white nail polish.

Step one: Paint your nails white with enough coats that it becomes opaque, the reason white goes first is because the red stripes will come through more opaque when you paint them on so that one coat should be enough.

Step two: If you are using masking tape, the cut it down so that is narrow enough for your stripes, position across the nail and the paint over it. Personally I don’t like using tape as it is fiddly to apply and remove so I use the flat brush instead as it is really easy (providing you have a steady hand) to create straight even lines. Use the flat tip side of your brush to draw down the stripes and then fill them in.

If you are applying a top coat to seal in your design make sure it is completely dry before doing so otherwise the darker colour can streak in to the light colour and ruin your hard work!

Let me know in the comments below what you think of this design!

Love and (high)light✌
