REVIEW | Wheesht skincare

In the beginning of January, I received two items from a new Scottish based natural skincare brand called Wheesht. After a brief discussion on my skin type, Kelly, the owner sent me over a sample pouch of Moroccan Detox Clay Mask along with a very generous sized sample jar of Mango Moisture Balm Cleanser and Mask. You can use these products on their own or in combination.

Before I get in to reviewing the products individually, I really liked the packaging. The Mango Moisture Balm Cleanser and Mask was sealed with an anti tamper label for hygiene and the Moroccan Detox Clay Mask was presented in a pouch that declared what it was with the branding all over it. Through and through it was a good first impression to open up. I also love the brand ethic as 25p from selected sales will go towards providing safe drinking water in Cambodia for up to 20days.

Proudly bearing the cruelty free and vegan logo.

Unfortunately as you can just see on one of the labels, the jar did leak a little bit in transit which is a shame but it was more natural oils than product so I didn’t lose anything.

Mango Moisture Balm Cleanser and Mask

Mango Moisture Balm cleanser can be used daily by applying to skin using circular motions then wipe clean using a warm cloth. Or use weekly as exfoliating & hydrating mask.

This mask is designed to help all skin types and will turn from light Balm to oil with heat. Ideal for skin with dry patches and oily skin too.

Some of the natural ingredients include:

  • Mango butter and powder
  • Almond wax
  • Coconut oil and powder
  • Jojoba oil.

I must admit, I was skeptical about this product – adding more oil to my already oily in some areas combination skin when I fiercely try to make it as matte as possible but I was so surprised and impressed. I have used this as an exfoliator and a mask and in both instances I was not disappointed.

On it’s own, it is a fantastic gentle exfoliate although I like to use my little facial scrubby pad because I don’t want to get anything under my nails.

My skin was left feeling clean and smooth, not greasy. I really enjoyed the smell, initially I was expecting that sickly sweet mango smell that we are all used to smelling in juices and sweets, but have you ever smelt a freshly cut mango that smells so bright and vividly? nope, this balm smells very softly of mango and you can tell that there there is nothing artificial about this.

Moroccan Detox Clay Mask

This mask is preservative free and powder based. It contains two types of clay that will draw out impurities, absorb excess oil, plus help reduce pore size & cleanses the skin of dirt with a mild exfoliation. The mask also contains banana powder which gives a gentle exfoliation and helps along with mango powder promoting glowing skin as well as giving the face a refreshed feeling.

Some of the natural ingredients include:

  • Rhassoul Clay
  • Kaolin Clay
  • Mango & Banana powder

I love clay masks, they are my absolute favourite as they really cleanse my skin and draw out the excess grease and impurities. So when I dried this, I instantly knew that I loved it after a couple minutes of having it on.

You can really feel this mask tightening your skin as it is drying, when it came time to remove it I contorted my face so that it cracked the mask up and I was able to flake off the majority of it and underneath my skin was as smooth as a Goddess and balanced – it removed the excess oil and put a stop to my dry patches, I loved it and I think this was my favourite product out of the duo sent to me. The mask smells a little bit like bread mix so I found it quite relaxing too.

In conclusion, I am so grateful and happy I got to try out Wheesht products. A huge thank you to Kelly for sending me over the products, I really loved them and I hope this brand takes off as everyone should try at least one product from the Wheesht range.

Love and (high)light✌

*I received these products free of charge with no pressure either verbally or monetarily to produce a review that is favorable to the brand, this is 100% my own opinion and experience of using the products for a period of time.
